C. Robinson Self analysis for my painting

What kinds of things do you see in this painting? What else do you see? In this painting i see a winding gravel road going around mountains, i see a pond reflecting the foggy sky, i also see mountains in the fog that are covered with snow.

How would you describe this painting to a person who could not see it? If I was describing this painting to a person who could not see it I would tell them that there is a gravel road to the bottom left of the page that goes around the mountains on the left side. The road goes around a pond. There are hills far off in the distance and a little house is on the hill. Behind the hills are mountains mostly covered by fogs and the mountains have snow all over them.

How would you describe (the place depicted in) this painting? The pond and little hills are in a valley. I would say that its Alaska because there is a tiny house and in the middle of no where. They are at a high altitude because the mountains are covered in snow.

What does this painting remind you of? This painting reminds me of spring when all the little easter flowers are beginning to bloom and when the last snow of the year has dusted the mountain tops.

How is this picture different from real life? This painting is different from real life because it is not as detailed as the picture. Also in real life there is more texture to what we see than in this painting.

What interests you most about this work of art? The one thing that interests me the most in this work of art is the gravel road because it is so simple and light in detail but yet it is very prominent in my eyes.

Which objects seems closer to you? Further away? The objects that seem closest to me are the colorful hills and the pond, the objects that seem farther away are the snow covered mountains and the tiny house on the hill.

What color is used the most in this painting? The color that is most used in this painting in my opinion would have to be grey.

What makes this painting look crowded? I think that the road makes the painting look crowded because it is not proportional.

What title would you give to this painting? What made you decide on that title? The title I would give this painting would be Spring Begins because it seems as if the snow is starting to melt from winter revealing the fresh flowers of spring.

What do you think is happening in this painting? What else could be happening? In this painting i think a couple is in the house waiting for all the snow to melt and for it to get warm so they can enjoy the warm spring weather and scenery.

What sounds would this painting make (if it could)? The sounds of this painting would be birds chirping and snow sliding off the mountain tops crashing into the valleys.
