CVQO-led BTEC Level 2 registrations now open For academic year 2018/2019

Stand by...

Our BTEC Level 2 resource materials for the 2018/2019 academic year are back from the printers and just about ready for learners.

Now available are BTEC Level 2 resources for 'Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community' and 'Music for Practical Performance'.

Best of all, the qualifications are free for eligible cadets.

What do our learners say?

Stephen Isherwood, an Air Cadet from the Isle of Man (also a CVQO Westminster Award finalist) completed a BTEC with us, and is now training to become a police officer.

And of course there are lots more testimonials on our website here.

Brand new look and feel

Sold! How do I get involved then?

Very easy.

  • Contact your CVQO Area or Regional Manager for more info (contact details at the bottom of this page)
  • Register your interest by clicking one of the buttons on this form and we'll be in touch

So it's free?

Cadets aged 16-18 in England can enrol on either qualification at no cost. Limited places are available for cadets in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

As a bonus, all cadets enrolled on a CVQO-led BTEC Level 2 qualification become eligible to be nominated for our annual CVQO Westminster Award. With a week-long residential selection event in Somerset, an ILM Level 3 qualification, lunch at the House of Lords and trip to South Africa on offer for the finalists, what's not to like?

Nominations open in October / November each year for the CVQO Westminster Award, so keep your eye out for news on our social media channels.

The CVQO Westminster Award - Somerset to South Africa!

What else do I need to know?

Availability is limited and enrolments for both qualifications open officially on 1 August 2018.

Support is available every step of the way from CVQO and we often run workbook sessions and adventure training / BTEC weekends for cadet groups to get together and complete the work.

What's the value of a BTEC qualification?

Good question.

Our own research into the value of vocational qualifications and how they're perceived by employers came to some interesting conclusions.
