Placing global problems at a local level

As one of our members, Challenge Essex gives you the opportunity to work in groups to tackle globally significant problems and design solutions to improve the world around you.

In doing so, you will develop crucial attributes such as critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving skills and intellectual independence. As well as, team working and communication skills.

We will issue the challenge at the start, and end the seminars with Dragon’s Den style presentations.

For this inaugural event, the challenge will relate to the curriculum review at the University Of Essex. The winning team will have their solution put into practice. Participation and active contribution towards your team’s solution and output can also provide you with points for the Big Essex Award, and be a valuable addition to your CV. All members of the project will be provided with a free lunch in each session.
