Planning Your Session
Are you dreading planning your session? Are you dreading trying to get all those kiddos to smile?
Surprise! Your session is going to be fun!!
As a mother of who's survived two newborns believe me when I say, I know how you feel! It’s easy to get overwhelmed when you think about the planning of what to wear as a new (or seasoned) mom, getting the house photo ready, and keeping older siblings happy long enough to at least look happy in the photos. It’s a good thing for you that bringing it all together is my specialty!
Here are a few tips as we begin to plan your session. Remember that I’m here with you and for you through the whole thing so be sure to relax and let things flow! We will be sure to take breaks whenever your little bundle needs to eat or just be held by you. Working to keep your baby comfortable and calm is the most important thing, and ensures that you can breathe easy throughout our time celebrating your little one's new life!
-When it comes to the cleanliness of your home, just remember my at home photo shoot motto, "messes can be moved." There are plenty of ways to shoot around any clutter or eye sores, so please do not stress about that! You have more important things to focus on.
We will make sure to capture your growing family being your family and having so many sweet and fun moments!
-When choosing outfits refer to the “What to Wear” portion of this guide and remember it’s likely you can choose right from your own closets!
-Stressed about convincing any older siblings (or your husband) to enjoy our time together? Don’t worry, I’ve got it covered. The best thing you can do to help make this happen is to relax and let me handle it. I pride myself on taking the time to get to know your family, to play and have fun with big brother or sister. During this time I’ll grab the tender and fun candid photos but also convince any children that they like me enough to smile for those perfect shots! After years of doing this I think I’ve got it down to a science!
-Don't worry about the bribery! Most likely we won’t need it and if we do, I come prepared! I’ll have a special something for your children for after the session...if they’re not cooperating that usually does the trick!
