The Olive Shoot Experience
Olive Shoot is a full service boutique photography business. My goal is to make sure you not only have beautifully documented wedding photographs of your special day full of so many incredible memories but also to provide you with heirloom quality prints, albums and products that will last a lifetime.
No more digital negatives hidden away in drawers for no one to see! After I've professionally curated and post processed your photos (about three to four weeks after your wedding) you’ll have your reveal night where you’ll get to see all of your images for the very first time. That night we’ll work to create amazing products to showcase your entire session. From wall art to albums, Olive Shoot has a full range of products to meet all of your needs!
I’m guessing that right now you’re saying “But I want the digital negatives!” Don’t worry I completely understand where you’re coming from. I value digital negatives as much as you do (otherwise I wouldn’t have a stack of hard drives filled with precious family memories!). I offer collections that include digital files along with the purchase of quality products for your family to enjoy. Doesn’t get much better than that!

Planning Your Day
If we haven't already met in person for a consult, we will do so the day that we set up to book me as your wedding photographer. We will also go over your contract and you'll be able to take care of your non-refundable retainer fee. During our consult, we will take our time, talking about your back story of how you met, your families, your venue, the number of your wedding party members and guests, and what moments at your wedding are the most important to you. While my shooting style is documentary, I will go above and beyond to get the photos that are the most valuable to you and your fiance.
In the days leading up to your wedding, I am available for any questions or concerns you may have about the flow of your day, as I know things can sometimes change in the wedding planning process. We will also meet for one more face to face consultation one to two weeks before your wedding date to finalize any details and to finish out the remaining balance owed for your wedding package as well. Getting Married!!
What to Expect on Your Wedding Day
With all of the stresses of planning a wedding, I truly believe that your wedding day should be the day for you to be able to relax and reap all of the benefits of the work you've done throughout the course of your engagement. While we can certainly grab a few of the traditional portraits and various details - the remainder of your wedding day is left to the events that simply unfold in front of my lens. This creates the candid, genuine, emotion-driven, absolute best photos from your day! All of the major events will be photographed without any staging necessary, as the real life story that unfolds is always the most meaningful.
Bridal party moments will be captured in their individual getting ready rooms, or wherever they might be spending their time leading up to the ceremony. The gown, jewelry, shoes, venue, and all of the big and small details of your wedding will be photographed and preserved along with so many beautiful moments shared between the bride and groom, as well as their friends and family.
Should you decide to do a "first look" portion, we will do so right after the getting ready photos. The ceremony will go off without a hitch, as will the reception where all of those amazing candid joyous moments will unfold!
My job, as your photographer of the day is to shoulder the burden of capturing the perfect photos to tell the story of your day, and for you to simply live it out.
After the Vows
You’ve already had an unforgettable time at your wedding and this will be the time that you will get to relive all of those wonderful moments all over again! About three to four weeks after your big day we’ll have your reveal night. On your reveal night you’ll see all of your images for the first time. It’s definitely something to get excited about!
That night I’ll come to your home (that’s right, you can even stay in your jammies if you want!) and show you a custom slideshow with your images and videos.
After you’ve experienced the slideshow you’ll have some time to go through all of your images and take a look at a few product samples. Seeing everything in person again will really give you a sense of what products are most important to you. My absolute favorites are the matted prints and the gorgeous handcrafted Italian crystal cover wedding albums!
You’ll have plenty of time to ask any questions, to hold up image sizes to different walls in your own home to see what size will work best as well as time to pick out your favorites.
The goal of the reveal night is to finalize your order so we can get your prints and products to you as soon as possible. To help make this stress free it’s a great idea to take a look through all of the different products and collections so you can go into it with an idea of what might work best for you. Once you’ve seen your images that may change but it’s always good to have an idea when reveal night comes around!
When all the fun of the reveal night is over, you’ll have a short wait before you’ll have those images in your hands! You can expect to have your digital files within 24 hours ready for download. Prints and products will be in hand within 2-4 weeks. Albums typically take closer to 4 weeks as they are printed and handcrafted in Italy. When everything is in we’ll schedule a time that I can hand deliver everything to make sure it gets to you safely!
