Kindergarten 2020-2021 Registration

It's hard to believe that it is already time to start thinking about the 2020-2021 school year! Online PRE-Registration for incoming Kindergarten students will begin in mid-March. Beginning next week, staff in the Front Office will begin collecting names/email addresses of our future Kindergarten Leopards via a link that will be made public on eSpot. If you, or someone you know, have a child that will be age 5 by August 1st, 2020, please watch for the link and further information coming soon.

Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair the week of 2/10 and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits. See more, including the schedule, here.
La Grange Elementary is excited to begin work on this year's musical "Seussical the Musical"
  • Try-outs are scheduled for Wed, Jan 29 and Thur, Jan 30, during normal school hours. Students do not need to bring anything special those days. They will be asked to read a few lines and do some light singing.
  • Roles will be announced during afternoon announcements on Mon, Feb 03! If your child auditions and makes the cut, we will send home a participation form to be completed and returned by Fri, Feb 7, at 3PM.
  • Our first rehearsal will be Thur, Feb 10, until 4PM. There will be a short, mandatory parent meeting at 4-4:30pm in the library that day as well.
  • Performances will be held on Thur, May 21 and Fri, May 22 at 6PM.
  • If you have any questions please contact our music teacher, Matthew Butterfield at matthew.butterfield@oldham.kyschools.us. Thank you and we look forward to a wonderful time working with your children!

The 100th Day of School . . .

. . . is fast approaching! If we have no snow days between now and then, it will be Tues 2/4. Some teachers will encourage kids to dress like they are 100 or wear a funny shirt or bring 100 of something (like Legos or stickers) in in a baggie... even if the teacher doesn't suggest it, your child is of course welcome to participate!
