Great First Football Game!
Thank you to all of the students, parent volunteers and attendees to last night's first home football game! It was so fun to be back in our very own Children's Health Stadium!
While we are so excited to be back, there have been many changes put in place. We will continue to work with our PISD Athletic Department to ensure we are providing a great experience for the crowd and our students. It seems our band students were providing too much spirit through our playing during the game (way to go kids!!!!!), so we will be making some slight adjustments. More information will be given to our students through their Google Classroom and in class.
Thank you again to the students and the parents for all of your continued support.... you are the best!
It can be difficult to be the model of student/staff safety in today's COVID world; however, we are so proud of how our students have taken on the many challenges of playing an instrument in a large group during a pandemic. We must continue to properly practice social distancing, wearing our masks during school events and always playing our P.A.R.T.
Our students have done an AMAZING job of adhering to the COVID procedures set in place at the beginning of the year and it shows. People are noticing and positively commenting in your participation. Keep it up!
We will continue to work with the PISD administration and guidelines set by state and local municipalities throughout this school year. As soon as we are able to make any changes, we will; however, the continued risk around us is still present and we must be diligent in all of our actions.
It can sometimes be hard to be the example; however, the influence we hold to the world around us is significant as members of the Prosper Mighty Eagle Band. We are Proud and we are ONE!
All uniform parts can be either professionally laundered or laundered at home. If laundering at home please follow these steps. **Any damage to the uniform parts caused by improper leaning will be the responsibility of the student.
- Bib pants (overall pants) & jacket can be washed in COLD water and dried on the COLD setting. HOT is BAD!!!
- Bib pants and jackets should be washed separately to avoid any snagging during the washing process.
- Hand wash gauntlets only. These must be hand-washed in cool water then towel dried to remove excess water. They should lie flat to dry. DO NOT PLACE IN A DRYER.
- NO USE OF FABRIC SOFTENER on any uniform part.
- The inside of the shako (hat) can be wiped with a mild detergent, such as woolite or a mild dishwashing detergent.
- No part of the uniform should be placed in a garment bag when wet.... things will grow.
When in doubt...... have it professional laundered! ;-)
Corporate / Parent Fundraiser
Dear Prosper Band Supporters (Preset, Past and Future)
We really need your support this year. You can support your band by taking a look at the attached flyer and forwarding it to anyone you know. Our sponsorship and fundraising activities really support your band program in making it the best. It allows us to succeed and work with some outstanding professionals. Furthermore, it allows us to defray student costs.
If you own a business, we will partner with you and market your products and services. We promise to drive band members and other Prosper High School supporters to you and your business.
You can also donate as a parent and support your band program. Please take a look at the attached flyer.
We are also looking for any parent volunteers that are interested in contacting places of businesses for donations.
