It was another great week at LMS! Our staff met with new parents on Wednesday night, held class meetings with all 800+ students on Thursday to share our school expectations, and started to dig into academic coursework. Clubs and sports are up and running. It's a great time of year, full of enthusiasm and excitement! Please note our updated Club/IM/Athletic List is linked below.

After School Activity -- Friday

Our first after school activity takes place next Friday right after school from 2:45 - 3:45 pm. We will have games, dodgeball, music, and food! This is a great way for new students to socialize with others and celebrate the start of the school year! Admission is $3 ($3.50 at the door) and pizza/pop are available for purchase. Encourage your Rebel to attend!

Dress Code Reminders

Help your student dress for success! At our class meetings earlier this week, we reviewed the TSD dress code with all students. We appreciate your support in discussing and helping to enforce these district expectations!

6th Grade Cleveland Trip Meeting

Monday, September 24th at 6:00 pm - Larson Collaboration Studio

6th grade parents are invited to attend an informational meeting in regards to the Sixth Grade Field Trip to Cleveland. The trip is on Saturday May 4th. Students and parent chaperones will visit the Malley’s Chocolate Factory, Great Lakes Science Center, and the beautiful Cleveland Zoo. This year we will be having lunch at the zoo. Registration is online through Big Country Tours. Registration details can be found on the Larson Website under “Activities.” Parent chaperones are needed and should register with Big Country Tours if interested. 7th Grade Chicago Trip Meeting

Monday, September 24th at exactly 6:30 pm in the Larson Collaboration Studio

Seventh grade parents are invited to attend an information meeting about the Seventh grade Chicago Trip. On Saturday April 27th and Sunday April 28th students and chaperones will explore this exciting city! The adventure includes the Adler Planetarium, Shedds Aquarium, Union Pier, a Medieval Times Dinner Theater, The Museum of Science and Industry and Gino’s Pizza. Registration is online through Big Country Tours. 2018-19 Yearbooks

Purchase your 2018-2019 Larson Yearbook NOW Please visit Pay Schools –> Larson-> LMS yearbook and purchase your child’s yearbook now. If you have multiple children at Larson, please purchase one under each student’s name as we distribute them to individual students in June. While we have some extra yearbooks available for purchase in June, there is no way for us to guarantee your child a yearbook unless you purchase it in the fall. The cost is $20 until December 1st. Mum Sale -- Deadline is Monday!

There is a great opportunity to support the 8th Grade trip to Washington DC. Order forms are due to the Larson Office by September 10th. Checks only, please, made out to Larson PTO. These mums are huge and very nice, so no one will be disappointed. $7 cost, and $13 suggested sales point gives them $6 profit per mum. Anyone from Larson can buy, even if just for themselves to get fundraiser prices. Any questions, email ReneeMuter@aol.com.

Student Allergy/Food Items

Per usual, we have a variety of severe student allergies. Please avoid sending any peanut/tree nut items or fish in your student's lunch. This will significantly help in our efforts to make the cafeteria a safe place for all of our students. Thanks!

It's time to renew or adjust your rewards program! The Larson PTO raises significant funds every year through your normal purchases at Kroger, Amazon, and more!
