While change is inevitable, it remains difficult for most. The transition from our Legacy systems includes several changes from our previous itinerary. Hopefully, the instructions below will help answer any remaining questions you may have regarding the most recent round of changes.
The biggest change, as you've been made aware, includes the move from an instructor led course to an LMS format. The curriculum is self assigned when the new employee attends the session assigned to their role. The second change involved coordinating with POCT so that all staff could attend the training on Thursday of Clinical Orientation week.
The Care Partner/Medical Receptionist role attends on Thursday morning of Clinical Orientation week from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. The nursing education area at 3401 (where the new employees have attended the Monday through Wednesday portions of Clinical Orientation) is also utilized for this training. The only difference will be the purple shuttle they get on, to get to 3401, will no longer say "Orientation," specifically. Otherwise, the location and mode of arrival remain the same. Once the LMS review is complete, the staff will need to know where to report to fulfill their FTE hours. Should there need to be a second class, due to size, or a change in venue, you will be notified as soon as details are available.
The Registered Nurse role attends on Thursday afternoon of Clinical Orientation week from 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Again, we will utilize the space at 3401 where Clinical Orientation takes place. Staff will need instructions on where to report after this training is completed. Should there need to be a second class, due to size, or a change in venue, you will be notified as soon as details are available.
