Sanders Sullivan Professional Portfolio

Over the past four years at Clemson University, I have gotten the opportunity to do some amazing things that I never would have thought I would have been able to do. As a Communication major, I aspire to work in the sports industry by being a reporter, videographer, social media content producer or through television production. My dream is to entertain people in any way possible, whether it be through writing, in front of the camera, behind the camera or social media.

This portfolio showcases the work that I have done that has prepared me for the many fields I am interested in pursuing. It also showcases some academic work I have done at Clemson as well. My hope is that this page can display my many talents in multiple industries, not just one specific area.

Work Experience

Clemson Broadcast Productions

I got to film an interview with Lindsey Graham that was broadcasted nationally on Fox News. This was one of many great opportunities this internship provided me with.

At Clemson Broadcast Productions from 2014 to 2016, I got the opportunity to intern and learn more about what takes place in a broadcasting studio as well as create content in the field for Clemson University's social media. I did many different jobs such as: set up and strike televised productions, produce and edit video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, go into the field and obtain footage through the usage of different cameras and also film events that would occur on campus. Below are a few examples of work I created through the broadcast center for Clemson's Social Media accounts:

Hokie Hype Video Competition

Clemson Broadcast Productions introduced me to Adobe's editing tools. Using these tools, I submitted a minute-long video for the Hokie Hype video competition for the Virginia Tech Football team. My video ended up winning the competition and was played live in a sold out Lane Stadium on a Thursday night game against Miami. You can view this video below:

Below are other examples of some of my favorite videos created for personal social media usage:

TigerIllustrated.com

As an intern for Tigerillustrated.com, I was able to help Senior Writer Larry Williams cover Clemson Football's 2016 National Championship winning season. During the week, I would transcribe weekly press conferences from players and coaches and report anything notable to the website. On game days, I would write notes to assist Larry in the press box and obtain video footage and transcribe post game interviews for the website. I also get the opportunity to write game stories for Clemson's Baseball team and Men's Basketball team. Some examples of those stories are listed below:

Here is my video submission for the ACC Digital Network Guest Reporter contest for the 2016 ACC Basketball Tournament. This contest was open to any aspiring reporters in the ACC and to enter, contestants had to create a video explaining why they are the best candidate for the job and also create an engaging hashtag on twitter to promote themselves (#TheSandmanStory). Although I did not win, my hashtag was seen by over 1.2 million users on Twitter alone over the span of a week. This gave me a unique experience of marketing myself through social media platforms in a creative and engaging fashion.

Clemson Athletic Video Services

As an intern for Clemson Athletic Video Services, I have been able to gain the experience of filming televised sporting events for Clemson University, ACC Digital Network Extra and ESPN3. I have been a camera operator for baseball, basketball, soccer and volleyball games at Clemson throughout their respective seasons.

Below is a highlight of a catch Clemson outfielder, Reed Rohlman, made during the 2016 season against Presbyterian College. On this play, my home plate camera captured the catch for fans following the game on TigerCast. This play was number one that night on SportCenter's Top Ten plays of the day. This is just an example of one of the many highlights I have captured while interning for Clemson Athletic Video Services.
