Hello, my name is Jill Lewis. I am a sophomore at Arkansas State University working towards gaining my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. In our Advertising Design class, we were tasked in creating an advertising campaign for the Foundation of Arts in Jonesboro

Thank you for taking the time to consider my campaign which includes both print and Instagram advertisements.

Objective

The marketing goal for the FOA is to acquire donations, as the FOA is a non-profit entity and must survive by meager course fees and fundraising.

The focus for this ad campaign is to create a “Big Idea” that connects with the target audience and to encourage them to donate to the FOA.

Audience

The target audience for this project is people with some type of disposable income in the region FOA community, who may or may not be aware of this important community institution.

Since the FOA offers a variety of art, music, and drama classes targeted toward youth, the main target audience will be the parents of school-aged children.

Creative Work

Big Idea

"Donate to the Journey"

This advertising campaign illustrates the journey on which art can take our children—whether through dance, drama, drawing, or painting. The donations will allow us to continue the FOA story.

Print Ads

  • The print ads combine graphics and typography to demonstrate the importance of donations to the FOA. They also show how the arts can benefit children.
  • The ads can be placed in magazines, in newspapers, on billboards, or even as flyers in the local schools.

Instagram Posts

  • These Instagram posts can use the same graphics, colors, and type as the print ads to ensure recognition and consistency.
Showing the “journey” of art on Instagram can reinforce the need for donations.

Closing

“Donate to the Journey” is an advertising campaign (using both print and Instagram ads) that will show the paths where the arts can lead our children. This campaign encourages parents to be a part of the journey through their FOA donations. It also demonstrates that this journey can help the children to grow as they follow the path.
