Hour of Code Teachers take the time to teach the basics of computer science

From kindergarten through 12th grade, students in Livingston took part in a global computer science effort called “Hour of Code" to learn the basics of computer coding. For these 21st century learners, students discovered that code is fun and creative, and that anybody, even our kindergarten students, can learn the basics. Once you know how to code, you can create virtual worlds within the computer where the only limit on what is possible is your imagination, "Hour of Code" advisers said. Livingston has made a big investment in educational technology, launching this year 1:1 computing in the upper grades and 2:1 student to device in the elementary schools and sixth grade.
