Men's Cross Country Heads to NCAA Nationals ... The Florida Southern men's cross country team will compete this Saturday, Dec. 1, at the NCAA Division II National Championship at the Bob O'Conner Golf Course at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, PA. The Moccasins earned the trip to nationals after placing third at the NCAA Regionals on Nov. 17 in Lakeland. [11/23] - Hanson's Career Night Leads Mocs Past Merrimack ... Brett Hanson scored a career-high 30 points and became the 42nd player in school history with 1,000 in his career as Florida Southern College men's basketball stayed perfect on the season with a 90-84 victory over Merrimack on Friday at Jenkins Field House. The No. 12 Moccasins (4-0) overcame an early eight-point deficit to defeat the Warriors (3-3) to win their 10th-straight regular-season home game. - (read more)

[11/24] - Men's Hoops Falls to Stonehill on Saturday ... Florida Southern College men's basketball was unable to overcome a hot-shooting Stonehill team and its own offensive woes as it suffered its first defeat of the year, 89-79, on Saturday evening at Streamline Sale Arena at Jenkins Field House. The No. 12 Moccasins (4-1) scored the opening bucket of the game but fell behind to the Skyhawks (4-3) on the next possession and led just once the remainder of the contest. - (read more)

[11/23] - Mocs Fall, 74-67, to Le Moyne in Eckerd Thanksgiving Classic ... Le Moyne used a 28-point fourth period to upset 14th-ranked Florida Southern, 74-67, here Friday at the Eckerd Thanksgiving Classic on the James Harley Court at the McArthur Physical Education Center. The Moccasins led 48-46 at the end of the third period, but the Dolphins went on a 15-6 in the opening five minutes of the final stanza to go ahead 61-54. Florida Southern could not recover as Le Moyne made 8-of-10 free throws down the stretch. Both teams exit the contest with identical 3-1 records. - (read more)

Freshman Mackenzie Steele connected on seven three-pointers for 21 points to lead five Moccasins in double figures as 14th-ranked Florida Southern easily eclipsed Daeman, 96-55, here Saturday at the Eckerd Thanksgiving Classic on the James Harley Court at the McArthur Physical Education Center. Steele's seven treys are one shy of the school record of eight set by Alli Fogle against Flagler on Feb. 14, 2009, and Alicia Evans against Saint Leo on Feb. 21, 2001. - (read more)

  1. [11/21] - Moccasins Earn Three All-Region Selections, Mattson Repeats as Player of the Year ... Nicole Mattson earned her second-straight South Region Player of the Year honors, and Florida Southern College volleyball teammates Bethany Besancenez and Rachael Martin also earned all-South Region honors when the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its all-region selections on Wednesday. Mattson's honor is her third Player of the Year selection this season after being named as the South Region Player of the Year by the D2 Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) and the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year. - (read more).

[11/19] - 2019 Florida Southern Softball Schedule Announced; Moccasins Open Season with Seven Straight at Home ... The Florida Southern Moccasins will begin the 2019 softball season with a pair of doubleheaders at Chris Bellotto Field the first week of February, kicking off a 44-game schedule, split nearly evenly between home and away dates. The Mocs will play three-game series against each of the other 10 Sunshine State Conference schools (five at home and five on the road), four non-conference doubleheaders at home, and three non-conference doubleheaders at neutral sites for a total of 23 games at home and 21 on the road. - (read more)
