We’ve accomplished a lot, but we're looking to expand. We're looking to try new things. We want to be able to meet the university's need to help students at JMU stand out in their classes, online, and when they go in for a job interview.
We're looking for creative, ambitious students to help us meet this challenge. The first step is taking our tutor training course.
You’ll learn how to be a peer tutor for digital communication by:
- making portfolios
- developing digital stories
- furthering your design skills
- expanding your work samples
- learning peer consulting skills
- apprenticing at DigiComm
What you can get: a job that matters.
Any student that has taken the class can apply to become a tutor in DigiComm. This is a paid position where you’ll work on a collaborative team that strives to serve our university through content creation and digital design.
The work is challenging, meaningful, and transformative.
Interested? Schedule an interview before Nov. 1st.
All prospective students will need to progress through two levels of interviews to be considered for the course.
We're looking for the best students. Are you in?
