Watch the Seagull Trying to Swallow a Fish at Pass-A-Grille Beach Photography by Robert Neff

Sep 26, 2016. Just after high tide, I was walking Pass-A-Grille Beach. When, out of the corner of my eye, I started tracking a bird flying in a wobbly manner toward me with something shiny hanging out of its mouth. I didn't have time to change my manual settings from landscape to my sport preset. With not enough time to track and focus, I reacted and hit the shutter until he landed.

OOPS!

ALMOST!

NOT GONNA HAPPEN!

BLACK SKIMMERS STARTED A WATCH PARTY

WHAT WOULD MACGYVER DO?

Before I started watching the seagull try to swallow the fish, I had been watching a group of 50 pelicans off the beach. While they were wading there, a beach resident stopped to tell me that she had counted 50. When the pelicans started to move, I had to leave the seagull never knowing if he swallowed the fish.
