PDST Books for Wellbeing
Bringing SPHE alive with books.

This document, developed by the Professional Development Service for Teachers, sets out to explore how the use of children's picture and story books can bring the subject of SPHE alive in terms of the feelings and emotions experienced in daily life, and equally enhance the well being of everyone through the use of such a medium. This resource also explores how picture and story books can be used as a stimulus for movement, creativity and physically expressing emotions within PE, as well to develop social skills and personal qualities within PE.
