A Series Of Unfortunate Events By aUdriana G.

A series of Unfortuante Events is a twisted mystery that brings you along the life's of 3 orphans whose parents died in a horrendous fire. The siblings go from house to house In attempt to find there new forever home, but continuously find themselves in the hands of Count Olaf. A selfish man who is determined to get there family's fortune left behind from the parents.

THERE ARE 13 BOOKS IN THE SERIES. AND 13 CHAPTERS IN EACH BOOK.

DESCRIPTION ONE

In the first book, when they first hear about there parents, they are sent to Count Olaf thinking he will be there new father that will treat them with respect, but they were very wrong. When they arrived at the house they were drenched in chores, given very little space, and bossed around by Olaf's assistants. Soon after that, the orphans discover his true plan, to steal there family's fortune. He tries countless times throughout the series to trick the children into signing over the rights, but time after time they deny his clever scams.
A NETFLIX SERIES STARRING NEIL PATRICK HARRIS AS COUNT OLAF, IS TO BE RELEASED ON JANUARY 13th 2017

DESCRIPTION TWO

In the whole series, my favorite is the 6th book, 'The Ersantz Elevator'. It is my favorite because it is very suspencful and introduces a lot of new characters that are very intersesting to learn about. Specifically Esme Squadler. In the beginning of this book she comes across as the wife of Jerome but by the end of the tale we see that she is truly a member of Count Olaf's pack trying to munituplate the orphans fortune once again. I found it very interesting to follow there path as they figured out who she really was.

WHAT DIFFERENCES ARE THERE?

DIFFERENCE ONE: In the first one, Olaf is only chasing after the three Bauldelaires fortune but in the fifth book 'The Austere Academy' the siblings meets triplets, Duncan and Isadora, who are also trying to escape Count Olaf's clutches. So the story is expanded because there are more children working together.

DIFFERENCE TWO: In the first few the gang that surrounds Olaf is very small, but by the time we get to the 6th one, his group of followers has gotten much larger, making it harder for the kids.

A JIM CARREY MOVIE WAS RELEASED IN 2004 ABOUT THE FIRST THREE BOOKS.

HOW ARE THEY THE SAME

SIMILARITY ONE: Throguhtout the whole series, it constantly follows the same three main characters.

SIMILARITY TWO: A character named Mr.Poe repeatedly appears trying to help the children with there homing issue, but over and over he fails and they end up in the same position.

MY COPIES

REVIEW

Personally my favorite in the series is the 5th book because we are introduced to a lot of new characters and there is a huge twist in the plot. My least favorite in the series is probably the austere academy. I found it really repetitive and bland. And for the movies I thought were okay. They skipped multiple important scenes and moved the order of events around. The characters were very well represented by all the actors. I am super excited to see the tv series in January!

Recommendations

If you enjoyed this series, I suggest reading Lemony snickets other series, 'What could that be at this hour.' It is another mystery series that keeps you on edge all the way.
