About Bright Spots

In July 2020, the Boost Community released its first collection of Bright Spots. These stories highlight individuals and communities that have driven change and improvement in routine immunization. Our goal was to shine a light on the work that is happening on the ground and inspire immunization professionals everywhere to learn, adapt and take action in their own communities.

The Boost team also developed a special learning group to provide a space for Boost members to access virtual events with story contributors along with additional tools and conversations. All of these resources are featured on the new Bright Spots microsite: https://brightspots.boostcommunity.org.

What is a Bright Spot?

A Bright Spots Story:

  • Relates to routine immunization delivery
  • Shows improved program performance
  • Is the result of an intentional change
  • Occurred at the regional, district, or facility level
  • Took place within the past three years

Call for Applications

Given the current global pandemic and its impact on routine immunization, we are particularly excited to share stories of change that demonstrate resourcefulness and new ways of doing things.

With the goal of showcasing operational change at the sub-national level, submissions by implementing partners must be submitted in collaboration with the relevant EPI team or local organization. International organizations will be asked to share contact information for local counterparts.

The Opportunity:

Selected stories will be showcased and shared within and beyond the Boost community - a global network of more than 1,000 immunization professionals - and elevated to global stakeholders. Previous Bright Spots have been showcased as case studies and story contributors have been featured in webinars on the Boost platform and reaching a global audience.

Apply Today:

Share your Bright Spot stories using the brief form below before October 15, 2020. It will take as little as 10 minutes. Please be prepared to complete your application in one session - you will not be able to save your responses.
