Slavery and States' Rights By Allie

1. Under this states'rights argument, state power was greater then federal power. 2. KansasNebraska act, was a act allowed the Kansas and Nebraska territories to decide weather to be free.
3. Fred Scott decision, a rule that African Americans were not citizens. 4. Texas entered the union in 1845 as a slave state.
5. In 1860 republican Abraham Lincoln won presidential election. 6. Scene was a formal withdraw from the union.
7.Unionists were people who wanted to stay in the union and work. 8. Sam Houston was a unionist.
9. Confederate states of America was the confederacy. 10. Sovereign or supremacy.
