Black History Month @IrvingISDLibraries February 2017

Libraries across Irving ISD are celebrating and remembering an important part of our history, through books and interactive displays.

Bowie Middle School
Johnston Elementary student projects.

Students at Johnston Elementary created Coke Bottle characters and provided a QR code so viewers could access their digital presentation and learn more about their character.

Kinkeade Early Childhood Center Library created displays throughout the month of February to highlight important African American figures, authors, and illustrators.

Students can stop by the bulletin board and use an iPad to scan the QR code and learn more about these important figures during Black History Month.
