Eighth grade science teacher Lori Stroud's third period science class performed a lab that involved chemicals and reactions between different substances.

8th graders Landon Brown and Covey Gilliland work together to evaluate relative density.

The students were instructed to identify unknown liquids by using their properties.

Stoud helped the students use forceps to move items to different locations on their table.

Eighth graders Max Bostock, TyLynn Taylor, and Logan Flannery record their observations in their notebook.

Eighth grader Mackenzie Peters points something out to eighth grader Madison Warren.

"Instead of them reading and trying to understand a concept they can be immersed in hands on, real world applications," said Stroud.
