468 Building Playground

The playground area for our 468 Building was recently updated! Students are now enjoying the soft tile mats that create a safer and more comfortable play surface. In addition to the play equipment, our students are now able to experience the innovative "Blue Blocks" by Imagination Playground. Learn more about Imagination Playground by viewing the video below.

Each day, our new playground items are safely stored after recess.

What's the long-term plan for the playground? Since we do not have access to all spaces within the 486 Building yet, this means we have to remain creative with our playground space. During the summer, and in preparation for the 2017-2018 school year, a permanent and more "traditional" playground is scheduled for construction. Our HSA raised $40,000 for the permanent 468 playground and from two years of Cougar Gear fundraising we've raised $10,000! The project is on track and we are immensely grateful for the support of our families and community members.

Flu Clinic on Campus

In cooperation with the Chester County Health Department, our annual campus flu clinic will be Friday, October 14th during the school day.

If you are interested in having your child receive a flu vaccine, please complete the consent form and return to your child's School Nurse by October 7th. Forms received after October 7th will not be processed.

Please note — the flu mist is not available this year; only the injection will be offered.

Questions?

CCS Employee Spotlight

With so many employees working to improve Collegium and maximize the daily experiences of our students, it can be challenging to match names to faces and know everyone involved in helping CCS operate smoothly.

This Newsletter section highlights one Collegium employee each week and allows families and students to get to know them better. Now, when you see a featured employee on campus, you'll have a better chance of being able to greet them by name and strike up a conversation.
