Time to Hit the Slopes
It’s time for a skiing, snowboarding, or sledding adventure at Buck Hill! And you won’t want to miss trying a bite to eat at the brand-new Buck Hill restaurant. Don’t forget to stop by a local store for some new gear, you’ll want to look good in your staycation selfie.
Lift tickets must be purchased online prior to arrival.
Get out of the house and rent a hotel room for the day and relax by the pool. Don’t forget to enjoy a tropical treat from a local eatery. If you are wishing you were on the beaches of Mexico, check out our delicious local Mexican cuisine!

Girls Night In
Enjoy a variety of wine samples and a locally made charcuterie boards while painting a local Burnsville scene with a local artist. It may just be the perfect excuse to get the new loungeware or cute top you saw at the store the other day!
There’s a Tourist in Town
Pretend that you’re a tourist for the day! What restaurants would you take someone to? Would you take them to to the zoo? Or maybe skiing? Or even roller skating? Maybe a show at the Ames Center! Don’t forget to stop and take photos around town.
Did someone say recess? Let’s play! Looking for an adventure? Let’s go go-karting, hit a home run at the batting cage, and show off our skating skills. Either rolling skating or ice skating, you pick!
If you are more comfortable staying in, build a tent and pick up some of your favorite local snacks. “Do you want to build a snowman?”
Relax to the Max
It’s time to get in the zone, the zen zone that is. Take an online yoga class, treat yourself to a massage, grab a new book from the local bookstore. Find your favorite spa essentials and treat yourself to your favorite drink from a local coffee shop. This staycation is all about taking time to sit back and relax. It's been a crazy year.
