Showcase Your Talents it's for charity!

There are more than 100 types of cancers; any part of the body can be affected. In 2008, 7.6 million people died of cancer - 13% of all deaths worldwide. About 70% of all cancer deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries. Worldwide, the 5 most common types of cancer that kill men are (in order of frequency): lung, stomach, liver, colorectal and esophagus.

So, what are we asking for? in brief terms we need help from companies to make this happen, we need funding for all aspects of this talent show to make it happen and make a difference. we need a venue, lighting, sound, a presenter, seating, stewards, the list goes on... and this is only the start. each donation either made in money or services will not go unnoticed in or out of your company, and here's why. each company that donates will have a advert located at the event, on tickets and any other forms of promotion we use. services provided by companies will reach a large amount of people who may not of heard or seen your work, its your turn to shine too.

now how can this help your company outside of the event? well here's what studies have shown...

1. It boosts employee morale and can attract top talent as individuals, giving back to our communities makes us feel good, causes us to be more socially aware, and helps us bond with our colleagues as we team up to help those in need. In the quest for a great work-life balance, it is important to many A-list candidates to be employed by a company that gives to charity for these very reasons. Giving to those in need is seen as another reason to work hard for a company, this gives workers an added incentive to achieve higher results for the company.

2. It doubles as marketing remember that your donation will lead to your companies name being everywhere at this talent show, and any services you provide showcase your talents. so why not invest in advertisements that will help others as well?

3. Increased network opportunities we all know the inherent value of networking, but sometimes it's difficult to break the ice with new prospects. There is a need to discover common ground to help make that connection. It is so much easier to talk to someone when you share the same passion. Through working for charitable causes, you can create new contacts and immediately have something to talk about with them. It also gives you a regular platform to help maintain those relationships.

4. Generate positive around your brand consumers appreciate and support socially conscious businesses because it causes them to become emotionally invested. In fact, customers are 85 percent more likely to buy a product that is associated with a charity. Sharing these facts with Ebeneezer Scrooge might have gotten him to change his ways a little sooner, don't you think? Take heed of his cautionary tale. Believe Dickens (and the business research) so that you won't have to be visited at night by three menacing ghosts.

and if that doesn't swing you here are the moral reasons to help out, bullet pointed this time just because we know how busy the business world is. 1. Any donation can help big or small. 2. You'll feel rich, maybe not in money but in compassion. 3. Your joining a community and being part of something bigger. 4. You set an example for other companies, children and even adults. 5. your helping a cause, helping someone see a loved one for years to come, remember that.

so next time your staring at the fat stack of cash in your wallet think of us...
