Sieve and the Sand Questions 24-28

What is the meaning of the title of Part 2? No matter how much sand you put into the sieve it will never fill up. Just like how someone's life can never be complete or fully understood.

What is the importance of the Dentrifice commercial? The jingle helps Guy memorize what he has read and to open up his mind. This also shows us how the government tries to put so much information in the civilians heads.

Why does Montag go to see Faber? He wants to make a copy of the bible that was saved from the fire. Incase anything were to happen to it, it would be safe with him.

What does Montag tell Faber about the books? He says taht the books are just paper and they do not show the true meaning of life. Faber says that the books are made to make people investigate their lives and why they are here.

What are the three things which Faber says are missing from society? Quality information, leisure to digest it, and the right to what we want from interactions of the first two. These three things show us how to start changing.
