Although generally regarded as a tree, the banana plant is really a giant herb. That means it does not have a woody trunk like a tree. The stalk—sometimes called a false trunk—grows from an underground stem called a rhizome and reaches a height of 10 to more than 20 feet (3 to 6 meters). This fruit is also in a family of plantain and other similar designs. This fruit has many varieties for example plantain, burro and etc... these are similar to the banana in a way.

The fruit that i chose is a banana and on the outside it has a yellow cover that's what covers the inside of it till it is ready to be peeled and eaten and the inside looks white and really mushy and it can be easily eaten. The taste tasted like sweet and a little of salt in it. When choosing a fruit from store you want to feel it and see if it's hard or soft because you have to check if it is ripe or not, after you buy the fruit you want to store it in a place where it's the temperature same as the house temperature.

For this fruit you do not have to cook it or anything you have to put in a place where it's warm so that it cooks in time and ripe.

Bananas were originally found in South East Asia, mainly in India. They were brought west by Arab conquerors in 327 B.C. and moved from Asia Minor to Africa and finally carried to the New World by the first explorers and missionaries to the Caribbean.

First the people use the leaves to make skirts and some people used them to make beds and etc...
