He brought many great reforms to the Franks, like a strong government, supporting of arts, and education.

Clovis

Clovis became king of the Franks at age 15.

Clovis was the first king of the Franks to become a Christian.

Pepin the Short

Pepin the Short succeeded his father as Mayor of the Palace

In 754 A.D., Pepin removed the Lombard's from their land, and gave the land to the pope to strengthen the ties between the Franks and the Catholic church.

Pepin offered to protect the church if the pope blessed him.

Pepin the Short made the Carolingian Empire.
