Mr. Marquis Mix (13 of Nazareth) is a poet and emcee from Virginia, living with epilepsy, a dry sense of humor, and peace of mind over everything. The golden thread which runs throughout his hip-hop infused poetry is drawn from the looms of various spiritual traditions to weave a tapestry of creative works geared toward the personal and collective healing process.
Boys and girls in Richmond Prep's Douglass School enjoyed a chat and performance by Mr. Mix today. During the talk, Mr. Mix highlighted the importance of writing, shared from his personal experience and presented his own writings as well. The Douglass School young men and women thoroughly enjoyed the performance!
Our guest left the boys and girls with an unfinished poem during his performance today. The full poem is available at the link below:
Thank you 13 of Nazareth of spending time with our Douglass School young men and women, today!
