Ethos: I believe I hold a strong position on the topic of gaming. I can recall countless nights staying up hours on end just to get in one extra round of a game with some friends. Outside school and sports, gaming was and still partially is my go to hobby. I contribute to multiple subreddit’s conversations on games so I feel I’m well versed in the gaming society. With advancements in technology the gaming society doesn’t know what to expect for the future. What we do know is that the options are seemingly limitless.

Prediction: I predict that online, the gaming society will be actively talking about upcoming games of 2017. I believe I will be able to find predictions of game types (RPGs, MMOs), and the communities opinions on them.

Conclusion: I was way off. My prediction was focused more on game types like MMOs and RPGs but my findings show that the conversation online was actually talking more about systems that games would be released on and certain details of games. For example, the word "Manhattan" came up as one of my most frequent words because the new game "The Division" is located in Manhattan and it was one of the most heavily mentioned games of 2016-17
