The R.H. Daniel School of Nursing & Health Sciences along with area emergency agencies held the Disaster Drill on Wednesday, March 27 at Piedmont College.
Simulated smoke billowed from the Swanson Center. The Piedmont Theatre Department created a believable disaster, complete with realistic makeup and pyrotechnics.
Around 100 senior nursing students exercised their academic skills as first responders, emergency medical coordinators and field trauma specialists to a variety of medical emergencies and injuries.
