Gotta Fetch'em All! A Pokémon Charity Stream - Benefiting The Seeing Eye

the MobLiNs for MatT wanna be the very best...

Clear your calendars because the Moblins for Matt are hosting a Pokémon themed charity event at Bar-K in Kansas City, MO on November 16th at 6 PM CST. Following the event at Bar-K, starting on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00 am CST through Sunday November 18, 2018 8:00 pm CST, the Moblins will host the "Gotta Fetch'em All!" Twitch live stream!

Both of these events will benefit The Seeing Eye, a philanthropic organization whose mission is to enhance the independence, dignity, and self-confidence of blind people through the use of Seeing Eye® dogs.

Join the Moblins for hilarious skits, doggos, prizes, doggos, heartwarming stories, doggos, and Pokémon lets play action! Did we mention that there will be dogs?! Because we feel like you should know that. PLUS, starting this week, we'll be hosting a pre-stream Pokémon: FireRed playthrough on Twitch every Wednesday through November at 7:00 PM CST!

You might be asking: "Why play Pokémon video games for this particular charity event?" To which I would say: "How are you speaking to me telepathically?!" One of the Moblins, Chad, is actually a graduate from The Seeing Eye himself and is completely blind! Pokémon is one video game he is able to play with us, so it is very special. The other reason is because we believe that Pokémon emphasizes friendship and companionship between humans and animals. A graduate of The Seeing Eye will be the first to tell you that their Seeing Eye® dog is a vital companion in everyday life, so this video game series fits perfectly!

Read on for stream details, pre-stream event information, and to get the lowdown on both Moblins for Matt + The Seeing Eye!

Bring your dogs to Bar K and join us for food, drinks, and Pokemon! The Moblins will have video games to play while your doggos enjoy the park, including retro-games like Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Snap and they will also have the brand new "Let's Go, Pikachu!" and "Let's Go, Eevee!" for Nintendo Switch!

The Veterans United Foundation is matching all donations made during our event, up to $2,500! So any donation made (including the purchase of raffle tickets) will have DOUBLE the impact!

During the live stream, the Moblins will be taking donations for The Seeing Eye, all while playing through the Pokémon. Donations not only help continue the mission of The Seeing Eye, but you can also win some REALLY great prizes too! The prizes include plushies, gift cards, video games, and more! Also, for every $5,000 raised, we get to name a puppy being trained at The Seeing Eye!

Just like we always do, we have prizes to give away during the live stream! We have hundreds of dollars of Amazon gift cards to give away, so be sure to tune into the stream starting on November 17th at 10 AM CST to learn how to win!

Not only will we be hosting the event in November, but we will also be hosting a weekly Pokémon stream EVERY WEDNESDAY!

Every Wednesday at 7 PM CDT leading up to the event in November, the Moblins will be playing Pokémon: FireRed! Denny will be doing a "DonationLocke," which means he will need your donations to keep going! Here's how it works:

  • Rule 1 - He can only catch the first Pokémon he sees per area.
  • Rule 2 - He can only spend money equivalent to what's been donated (1¢ = 1 Pokédollar). So, for every $1 donated you're adding 100 Pokédollars to Denny's wallet!
  • Rule 3 - If a Pokémon faints, the cost to revive it is US dollar equivalent to the Pokémon's level. It costs Denny equal to its level to revive it. For example, if a Level 25 Pikachu faints, it will cost Denny $2500 Pokédollars ($25 US dollars) from his wallet.

Be sure to watch every Wednesday so that Denny can become a Pokémon Master! The grand finale will take place during the "Gotta Fetch'em All" main event in November.

The Seeing Eye is a philanthropic organization whose mission is to enhance the independence, dignity, and self-confidence of blind people through the use of Seeing Eye®dogs. In pursuit of this mission, The Seeing Eye breeds and raises puppies to become Seeing Eye dogs; trains Seeing Eye dogs to guide blind people; instructs blind people in the proper use, handling, and care of the dogs; and conducts and supports research on canine health and development. The Seeing Eye's vision is to be recognized for sustained excellence and continuous improvement as the best guide dog school to attend and to support, as a donor, volunteer, puppy raiser, or employee.

The Moblins For Matt is a group of video game enthusiests that want to help charitable causes! The organization was started by Corey, whose brother Matt passed away in 2016 from a condition known as SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). In his memory, Corey decided to turn their favorite activity into a way to give back. Since September 2016, they have raised over $12,000 for the Epilepsy Foundation through charity live streams! Join the Moblins in their fight to help The Seeing Eye!

Are you excited?! I know we are! Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch to keep up with the event details, the Moblins, and reminders about the live stream! See you then!
