Day 2 - March 30th

This morning our early morning departure takes us outside of Bangkok where we will visit the famous Floating market. This is a must see tour for foodies.

Few markets couple ephemeral wares—fresh fruits, fish, foods, and colorful flower bouquets—with culture, chaos, and tradition like the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.

One of the largest and last remaining floating markets in Thailand, this authentic market has entranced travelers and photographers the world over with its vividly colorful scenes of vendors offering goods from long-tailed boats on the sleepy green Damnoen Saduak canal, built by King Rama IV in the 19th century.

To make the most of your market tour, you may want to interact with vendors and purchase some of their unusual, delicious, and practical goods. Taste smelly durian, order fried bananas served via fishing pole, or select a straw hat from a canalside stall.

Afternoon Free to Explore Bangkok

Tonight we dine at one of Thailands best restaurants Issaya.

Driving though narrow streets of Klong Toey doesn't prepare you for the superb two storey house in a tropical garden peppered with many colorful bean bags where guests can causally enjoy a drink before dinner. Before settling down for dinner, wander around and discover the house.

Issaya Siamese Club is housed in a vibrantly coloured and charming 100-year-old colonial villa with a lovely garden. Dishes from all regions of Thailand are represented on the menu. Recipes have a few creative tweaks and subtle modern touches but ultimately respect tradition. Signature dishes are always a good choice but consider the tasting menu to witness the kitchen's real ambition. - Michelin Guide

March 31st

Blue Elephant Cooking School welcomes you to a dazzling century old mansion where you will discover and experience the culinary wonders of Royal Thai Cuisine.

Everyone gets to learn today, even Massimo as the instructors here are passionate about their work and serious about providing high-quality lessons even for the trained chef.

Housed in a renovated colonial-style building, the stunning architecture and sunlit rooms give this cooking school an air of sophistication. After our class we will enjoy a wonderful lunch in the restaurant.

Thai Lunch
Optional Evening at Michelin Star Restaurant Bo.Lan

Bo.Lan has been recognised for many years as one of the best Thai restaurants in Bangkok. Famed for initiating the concept of fine dining Thai cuisine in the city, here you can sample age old recipes made from the absolute best ingredients but presented with the flair of European haute cuisine.

A powerful Thai cocktail is served first and sets the mood, balancing strong flavours together. This is followed by a platter of appetisers (amuse bouche), elegantly presented and distinctly flavoured. Personal favourites include the steamed salmon with dill and a northern Thai interpretation of laab salad.

For those wishing not to go to Bo.Lan Michelin star restaurant there will be a guided street food tour to taste the famous street food of Bangkok.

April 1st Bangkok To Ho Chi Minh

This morning we bid farewell to Bangkok and head to our next country- Vietnam. Our early morning flight takes us to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival we will do a small city tour and also visit the famous Marou Chocolate Producer.

Marou Chocolat was started by 2 Frenchmen Samuel Maruta and Vincent Mourou in Saigon. Their entire line up of bars come from different regions of Vietnam, and they are the first bean to bar chocolate company from Vietnam as well. The owners work directly with small 2-3 acre farms all over Vietnam to produce their single origin, dairy free chocolate bars.
Ho Chi Minh Coty

Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is Vietnam at its most dizzying: a high-octane city of commerce and culture that has driven the country forward with its pulsating energy. A chaotic whirl, the city breathes life and vitality into all who settle here, and visitors cannot help but be hauled along for the ride.

Ho Chi Minh City attractions are a vibrant mix of old and new, with well-preserved colonial structures and war relics from the devastating Vietnam War as well as sleek skyscrapers, elegant sports clubs, and expansive shopping malls against a metropolis backdrop.

We will enjoy a delicious local lunch before we head to embark on our Ama Waterways River Cruise.

The best Ho Chi Minh City dishes are well regarded as nutritious, savoury, and hearty delights that can be enjoyed at any time of the day. Some of the defining traits in Vietnamese cuisine include rice, noodles, seafood, pork and beef, as well as various fresh herbs and spices, all of which result in robust flavours and unique interpretations.
