EYFS Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea Party

We are delighted to invite all mums, grandparents, aunties or friends to our special Mother’s Day afternoon tea party. The EYFS children in Fieldmice and Rabbits classes will prepare a lovely afternoon tea for you and each special person will receive a gift from your child.

The tea party will be taking part on Friday 20th March at 2.15pm in the school hall. Younger siblings are also welcome to attend the event.

Please let the class teachers know if you will be attending.

Fieldmice Class ‘Mystery Reader’ Sessions

We would like to invite you to come into your child’s class to be a ‘Mystery Reader’. It would be great if you could spare 15 mins one Friday afternoon to come into Fieldmice class and read a picture book to the children at the end of the day (2.30-3.00pm).

If you would like to come in and read to the class, please either speak to the class teacher or email the office (admin@monktonpark.wilts.sch.uk) to arrange a date. Please feel free to bring a favourite picture book from home to read or alternatively we can provide you with one.

Please do not tell your child that you will be coming into the class - it will be a lovely surprise and we will build up the anticipation during the day as to who our mystery reader will be!

Many thanks for your continued support.

Breakfast Club

After the Easter holidays the school will be taking over the running of the breakfast club from PH Sports.

Mrs Tamin, who is our After School Club Manager, will be managing the breakfast club and we are in the process of recruiting additional staff. In order to have the correct staffing levels could you please email afterschoolclub@monktonpark.wilts.sch.uk with your daily booking requirements. Unfortunately we are unable to get this information from PH Sports.

The charge per session will remain at £3.50 which will include a breakfast if required, and we are pleased to be able to open from 7.30am.

Level 2 Netball

Well done to our two teams who competed in last weeks netball tournament.

On Friday 6th March , two teams competed against lots of other Chippenham schools in the Level 2 Netball tournament. Both teams did their best and couldn't have played better. Team A won all but one of their matches, playing some brilliant netball. Team B also played some fantastic netball against some really strong opposition. Team A will now progress to the Level 3 finals. Well done to both teams.
