## Learning to CountPatricia Lee

This page is about how we learn to count our numbers 1 to 20, This follows the standards of Kindergarten Counting and Carnality.

We want to be able to count to twenty without help, first we will learn how to count from 1 to 10 by watching a video then doing a game. Next we will watch another video counting 10 to 20, then play a game. After that game we will do a few activities. lastly we will count from 1 to 20 without help.

As a class i want you to sing along with them, after watching this video you will play this game. I want you to try to do this without help.

During this activity, you will count how many candles there are on the screen, if you have questions or need help, ask someone.

This next game is a little harder than the one before, because it will ask you to place a number of stickers on the screen. Don't forget to ask for help if you need it

See, that was not very hard if you feel like you need to do it again we can. Next we are going to count from 10 to 20.

As a class i want you guys to count from 10 to 20, repeat it if you feel like you need to. When counting to 20 it is harder, because you are going to be in double digits instead of one. But with this next game it should help you.

How fast do you think you can count? This game is going to go fast, you have to see how many you can get right before the buzzer goes off. Good luck!

The last game we will do is Curious George, it will ask you how many chickens there are on the screen. You will then click on the one you believe it is.

Lets count from 1 to 20 as a class!!

To practice your numbers you can look up counting videos on YouTube with the help of a parent. You can also practice with anyone, you can also come and ask me for worksheets to help you practice.
