Art 2 Portfolio Gabriella Conklin

1st nine weeks

My artwork looks like music threw up all over it.It has a bunch of music everywhere.The title of my piece is A special kind of love.Elements and principles used in my project are movement and space.My art work is made from music and some notebook paper.What inspired my artwork was my love for music I was randomly thinking about music sheets and band and this idea popped into my head.This expresses a personal issue because it shows how band plays a big part in my relationship with my boyfriend hint the big heart in the middle.The emotions I tried to show in my work was love.My goals for this artwork was to show a story or kind of tell one about music.Yes this piece helped me reach my goals actually I thought I did very well on it.I learned creating this artwork that it may get frustrating at times but you still have to push through and finish what you started.This final piece is kind of what I imagined but i thought it looked a lot better and more appealing in my mind.This piece will influence my future artworks because I will actually do multiple sketches and then it through to see how I better it or make it look best.

My artwork is supposed to look like the Cleveland Indians sign at Progressive field.The title of my work is My first game.My artwork is made from various pieces of magazines ranging in all different kind of colors.I used many techniques but I used the ripping and tearing technique for the magazine especially on the one building.Nothing really inspired my artwork I just kind of chose this photo I took because it was decent and it was a photo from my first Indians game.I don't know if i really tried to show emotions but if it was one I'd say Happy.My goals as an artist for this piece was to make it look halfway decent so I could actually make it look like the photo.This piece kind of helped me reach my goals I mean it looks like the picture even though it's halfway finished and it looks halfway decent.I learned creating this artwork that sometimes things aren't easy and they can be kind of stressful.This final piece is what I imagined but i think I could have put more effort into it.This piece will influence my future artworks because i'll most likely never do a magazine collage with a hard imagine to create ever again.

2nd nine weeks

My artwork has a blue background with music sheets glued on top going in a straight line.On the music sheets are flowers that go in value from gold to in black.The title of my piece is Dying flowers.Elements or principles obvious in my work is value from light to dark from gold.No one inspired my work it was another class project and there were no emotions shown.My goals as an artist is to achieve excellence and succeed while doing my projects.I learned creating this work that printmaking is really hard and it takes multiple attempts to get the right print.Also its very frustrating at times but you can´t give up.Yes this final piece is how I imagine it simple but meaningful.

My artwork is a self portrait of me its all black and white and there are words In the background because of the book pages.The title of my piece is self Principles that are shown in my artwork is negative and positive space because there are equal amounts of white and black.The media my art is made from is book pages,black ink,and rubber cement.Tools used to create this work were various book pages old and new,glue,rubber cement,and black ink.No one inspired my artwork and there is no emotions involved.My goals as an artist is to achieve excellence and succeed while doing my projects.I learned creating this artwork to be patient and take my time or bad things can occur like ripping the project.No this piece is not what I imagined but the only thing that matters is that I like it.

3rd nine weeks

My artwork is a self portrait of me with a background of book pages I painted my eyes blue , my hair yellow,and added rainbow pieces of book pages all over my portrait.The title of my piece is rainbows of love.Some art principles that are obvious in my work are negative and positive space there is both white and black.My artwork media is made from crayons and some of the tools I used to create my artwork is crayons,a hair dryer,hot glue,Cd's and acrylic paint.No one really inspired this work i have done multiple projects like this before in the past.Honestly there weren't really any emotions shown in my artwork.My goals as an artist is to achieve excellence and succeed while doing my projects.What did I learn creating this artwork?I learned that its okay to make very crazy decisions with your artwork because in the end it looks amazing even if you don´t like it at first.No this is not how I imagined my piece to look like but it´s better than what the original one was going to look like and I love it.

My artwork looks like crayon rainbows melted in value (lol) ,it has three women painted in different styles of dresses with no facial features,Cd pieces glued on the faces.The name of my artwork is multiple personalities.The elements or principles obvious in my work are value.The media my artwork is made from is crayons and acrylic paint.Tools to create this work were crayons,acrylic paint,hot glue,Cd's,and a hair dryer.No one inspired my work and there was but wasn't emotions shown.My goals as an artist is to achieve excellence and succeed while doing my projects.I learned creating this artwork that not everything is going to be perfect your first time doing it just don´t give up .Yes this piece is how I imagined it but i tweaked a few ideas.

My artwork looks like fabric since that´s what it´s mostly made of but it has different kinds of blue and purples to make my self portrait of me.The title of my work is effortless.The media my artwork is made from is fabric.The tools I used to create this piece are different types of fabric and pieces of my self portrait.No one inspired my work it was a class project and my artwork shows no emotion.My goals as an artist is to achieve excellence and succeed while doing my projects.What did I learn from creating this work?Well I learned fabric and glue is not a very good combination and that i´ll never do a fabric self portrait again.No this piece is not how I imagined it ,it looks a lot messier than I thought it was going to be.

4TH NINE WEEKS

My artwork looks like a painting of Dean Winchester off of Supernatural it has various shades of the same color to show contrast and value.The title of my work is Supernatural.The media my artwork is made from is Tempera paint.Some tools and techniques I used to create my artwork was using various sizes of brushes to get lines perfect.My love for the T.V. show Supernatural inspired my work because Dean is one of the main characters on there and that is who I painted.The love for him tends to grow when he always saves and protects his little brother Sam.My goals as an artist are to be the best I can be and finish my projects even when I don't want to finish them because I think they are bad.Yes this art project helped me reach my goals because in the end I did the best I could do even when I thought my art work was looking bad I still finished it and what do you know it looks great.I learned creating this artwork that no matter how bad you think your art looks you're wrong because in the end when its finished you just might like it.Yes this piece is how I imagined it its amazing I love the way it turned out so much and it was successful because it actually looks like Dean Winchester.

My artwork looks like a person holding a chicken it was an edited photo with a filter on it that I painted.The title of my piece is Chickaletta. My artwork is made from all Tempera paint and I used various paintbrushes to different strokes on the smaller and bigger details.My best friends chicken inspired my artwork I thought she was really pretty so I decided to paint her for my color filter realism project.My goals as an artist are to be the best I can be and finish my projects even when I don't want to finish them because I think they are bad.Yes this art project helped me reach my goals because in the end I did the best I could do even when I thought my art work was looking bad I still finished it and what do you know it looks great.I learned creating this artwork that no matter how bad you think your art looks you're wrong because in the end when its finished you just might like it.Yes this piece is how I imagined it its amazing I love the way it turned out so much and it was successful because it actually looks like Chickaletta.
