MEET OUR MENTOR:
Marilyn Anderson is an award-winning writer for film and television. She was honored by the Writers Guild of America as a writer on the WGA’s list of 101 Best Written TV Series over the Past Seven Decades and she won a LUMINAS Award for the Positive Depiction of Women in Film and Television. On TV, she wrote for Murphy Brown, FAME, Sherman Oaks, and Friday the 13th – the Series, and she was on the writing staff of Carol & Company, starring Carol Burnett. Marilyn is writer-producer of the family film, How to Beat a Bully. Her romantic comedy feature, Cold Feet, is in pre-production. In addition, Marilyn is an accomplished playwright, with a new comedy about women and gender parity in Hollywood, As Good as Gold, set for production in 2019.
Marilyn is the bestselling author of "How to Live Like a MILLIONAIRE When You’re a Million Short." The book was featured in Forbes and USA Weekly and won an IRWIN Award as the Best Book on Saving Money & Living Well of 2018. Marilyn is a sought-after expert on money-saving tips and has been quoted in various news outlets including Business News Daily, Market Watch.com, Discover.com and Erickson Living. She is a featured speaker for financial organizations and has been interviewed on radio shows and podcasts nationwide.
In addition , Ms. Anderson is the author of the humorous relationship book, "NEVER KISS A FROG: A Girl’s Guide to Creatures from the Dating Swamp," published in 10 countries. In conjunction with Never Kiss a Frog, she was on over 350 radio and TV shows and was the Dating, Flirting & Kissing Coach on TV’s Extreme Makeover. Ms. Anderson is also writer-producer of two web series based on her books.
