Yesterday, one of the most important finds of our times was made. The discovery of the Anglo-Saxon treasure trove was made in Sutton Hoo on the land of Edith Pretty. Mrs Pretty said "I had a dream about this." That dream led Mrs Pretty to hire Basil Brown to unearth the mounds.
Under the biggest eleventh mound a longboat was found. It is thought to have been the burial site for an important Saxon who was buried with so much treasure. The boat was the size of 15 grown men and would have taken hundreds to carry it.
