There's something to be said about those of us who can look at something and appreciate it for what it is, no matter what it may be. The clouds, a pillow, the wall, a shoe... It may sound silly, but honestly, this is the greatest quality of life besides love. This quality, creativity, has driven and designed our culture as a human race. Creativity allowed cavemen to draw on walls, something no creature had ever done before. Now, we seem to be losing touch with our imaginative selves, letting technology and "social" media to take up our free time. Don't get me wrong, technology is a wonderful and beautiful thing, but we've taken it too far. The very things we love are consuming our minds and actually tearing away our eyesight. But if we can seperate ourselves from devices and take deep breaths, feeling our bodies expand and pulse, then we can unleash the full potential we all contain. Having a certain change in perspective can change your entire mindset, attitude, and overall health. Pay attention to the little things... it might help you feel better.
One of the most important things to remember about life is that it is better spent with companions. Forming connections with all kinds of people: the quirky, the open-minded, the introverted, the impoverished, the ones who think differently... everyone is just as important. Personally, my favorite person will forever be my grandmother. She is the most loving, understanding, and creative person I have ever come to know. Even though I'm more of an introvert (simply due to the fact that I can rarely find the words to speak), we can talk for hours about anything and everything. When I was a child, I remember sitting at the piano as she relentlessly tried to help me learn the instrument's ways, but to no avail. Later, she presented to me a keyboard from the depths of her closet—mind you she is what many may call a hoarder—and I still have it to this very day, much in the same fashion as she kept it. It reminds me of our time together, how she loved and nurtured me, never judging my mistakes or decisions. She admired my bond with my cousin, who ended up being my best friend through middle school. But as with anything, that bond drifted apart, both because of changes in life and the coming of age. My message to you - don't lose your connections over small and ridiculous disputes. Hold on to those you have. Keep them in your heart, and carry them with you through everything you do.

"Entertainment in Rose Gold"
It doesn't matter who you are – you are important. You are loved. You are worth it. You are strong. You are beautiful. However, you are not more important than your neighbor, nor are you more loved, worth it, strong, or beautiful. At the same time, you are not any less than your neighbor. See, everyone is equal in the eyes of God, and therefore the same ought to be true in the eyes of man. Every person, no matter their gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or any other part of their identity, is important. The fact that people still to this day suffer from discrimination and hatred is beyond belief, and it is downright disgusting. I'm right there with you, struggling with sexuality and expression – so believe me, I know how difficult it is. Just remember that a new day is coming... we just really need to fight for it. The closet is a place for clothes, not people.

Call Me a Dreamer / Expected August 2017
Icarus / Expected Holiday 2017
Special Note: if you recall the previous video from the original Spring Showcase, a supposed Trading Card Game was in the works. This project has been cancelled, as I've realized that I do not prefer to create that genre of art. Instead, please look forward to more expressive and thoughtful pieces coming up, including Call Me a Dreamer and my Holiday special, Icarus (the novel).
