Ah, the Philippines, a Southeast Asian country in the Western Pacific. The Philippines has more than 7,000 islands. The capital is Manila. An Intramuros, the oldest district & historic also known as a "walled city" is in the core of Manila. It’s home to the baroque 17th-century San Agustin Church as well as Fort Santiago, a military prison.

The Philippines was the first country in Southeast Asia to gain independence after World War II, in 1946. It also has the highest rate of discovery of new animal species with 16 new species of mammals discovered just in the last 10 years. Of the 10 largest shopping malls in the world, three are found in the Philippines.

The Philippines is the world's largest producer of coconuts & tropical fruits, such as papaya and mangosteen. The Philippines has a population of more than 100 million people, which makes it the 12th most populous country in the world. There is a lake called Jellyfish Lake which contains more than 13 million jellyfish.

Some holidays in the Philippines are Good Friday-Regular Holiday- April 14th. Black Saturday- Special Non-working Day-April 15th. Manila Day- Celebrates the foundation of the city-June 24th. All Saints Day-Special Non-working day-November 1st

Boracay Beach is a place where you can go cliff diving, parasailing, motorbiking, horse riding, snorkeling, kite surfing and scuba diving. Boat tours also allow people to watch the sunset. Once the sunsets, Boracay's night-life happens which opens bars & restaurants which serves food & drinks and last until dawn.

Banaue Rice Terraces were carved from the mountain ranges about 2,000 years ago without modern tools by the Ifugao tribes, these farm terraces resemble giant steps reaching up to the sky. Locals to this day still plant rice and vegetables on the terraces,

The Philippines flag & when they are at war, they would hang their flag upside down. They are the only country that does that.

The Philippines looked beautiful above but some places in the Philippines are bad & poor. Like the pictures above.
