Exploring the setting

The Secret Annex was what Anne had called the place where they went into hiding in Amsterdam the Netherlands during WWII when Hitler was in power and had planned to eradicate all the Jews. Otto Frank the father of Anne had started a spice, and pectin business. Unfortunately while in hiding since people fight Anne and her mother seemed to always be fighting but eventually she had stopped the mean comments in her diary. She is famous for her diary that Otto had published after she died he got rid of some stuff that wasn't appropriate to be published. Anne had a huge impact on society today we read about her and about WWII and of the horrors that had occured such as the holocaust
