Welcome to Colorado! the centennial state

The Colorado flag: the 2 blue stripes stand for the sky, the white stripe stands for snow on top of the mountains, the red "C" stands for the reddish soil, and the yellow circle stands for the sun.
Colorado's state animal is the Rocky Mountain big horn sheep. Colorado's state bird is the Lark bunting. Lastly, Colorado's state flower is the Rocky Mountain Columbine.

Colorado has many cities and towns, but only some are very popular. Colorado's largest cities are, Denver, Colorado springs, and Aurora. Colorado's smallest and most least popular town is town is, Bonanza, with a population of 8. Finally, the state capital of Colorado is........... Denver!

These are Colorado's famous people; Margaret Brown who survived the sinking of the Titanic, Ruth Handler, who invented the Barbie doll, and Tim Allen who stars in the Santa Clause, and Toy Story series.

If you ever want to go to Colorado, you might want to see some of these famous sights: The Rocky Mountains, The Great Plains, Colorado springs, Royal Gorge, and finally, one of Colorado's most historical places......Pikes Peak!

Colorado also has many different nicknames. The most common one is, the Centennial state. 2 other ones are, the highest state, and the switzerland of America.

Did you know that, more than 50 different species of dinosaurs lived in Western Colorado? Now, there today, is a town called Dinosaur in Colorado.


Lastly, there are also popular sports teams in Colorado. One team for example is, the Denver Broncos.
