Being aware of the composition in a photo helps make a photo more aesthetically pleasing to viewers. A photographer must first chose a subject and then chose a background that will compliment this. Color can be used to compliment subjects. Another important element in composition to focus on while taking pictures is the position of the subject. The rule of thirds, cropping, and adjusting the height the picture is taken at can help achieve this. A great photographer will know when to break the rules listed above.
