WWI Trench Warfare Survival Guide By: Virginia Huffman

Weapons

These weapons are very useful to bring into the trenches. Since the trenches are underground, there are a lot of insects and rodents. There were a lot of rats that would crawl around and even some of these rats carried lice and diseases. The soldiers can use these weapons to protect yourself(Apocalypse).

Gas Mask

You will need a gas mask too. The trenches are full of diseases, thanks to them being underground. There are a lot of germs and dust and soil in the air when you are down in the trenches. This will keep you safe from any bacteria and germs(Apocalypse).

Entrenching Tool

You will need an entrenching tool. In order to stay in the trench, you need to make one first. This will help you dig out all of the soil and the rocks that are in your way to making a trench(Apocalypse).

Steel Helmet

You would need to bring a steel helmet. First of all, you're in the war and you need a helmet. Second of all, in the trenches, from all the people on the surface above you, there is going to be debris falling from the top of the trench(Apocalypse).

While you're in the trench, there are rats living inside the trench with you. They do bite you and they spread diseases and lice. This first aid kit would be helpful with those bites or even with medicine from the diseases(Apocalypse).
