Tech Snacks Byte-Size Treats to Transform Learning

Today's Tech Snack is delivered to you through Adobe Spark. Adobe Spark is a free tool that is all about storytelling, presenting and sharing! It allows teachers to express ideas in three formats - a dynamic Page (like this), a stunning Post, or a captivating Video. Visit spark.adobe.com/edu for teacher's guides and galleries full of examples!

How Can You Use Spark in Your Classroom?

  • Announcements: Use video, post, or a page to inform your students, staff, and families about upcoming events.
  • Hook: Make a video that sparks the interest of your students to boost anticipation and make a connection to your lesson.
  • Newsletter: Create a page or post to distribute your class/school news. Include images, videos, and links to keep your families and community informed and involved.
  • Virtual Field Trip: Create a page, video or post to display and share visual images of a place that may be too far to travel by bus OR use this idea to recap a place you have visited.
  • PSA: Create a page, video, or post to inform your students about a relevant topic.
  • Presentations: Use images and text to share a lesson through a page in a visual and captivating way. Students can keep the links and use this info as a study guide.
Interested in a paperless classroom?

Extend your classroom with Google Classroom or Canvas. Both allow you to engage your students, stay organized, go paperless (or use less paper), and more! Click here for a side by side comparison to help you decide which platform is best for you.

However, if you are interested in using both Google Drive and Canvas, it doesn't have to be a battle. Google Forms can be embedded into Canvas with just the click of a few buttons! View this screencast to find out how.

If we teach today as we taught yesterday, we rob our children of tomorrow. –John Dewey
