Why discuss this?
Keep in mind, we want to support all students taking 4 years of HS Mathematics
In Parkrose, 8th Graders take Algebra for all
If 8th graders were to take Integrated I as a replacement to Algebra I, there were be an ongoing gap of 8th grade CCSS and Integrated I.
If students took Integrated I at 9th grade, they would not be able to take Calculus Senior year unless a student took 2 math courses in 11th grade.
Our problem: How can we provide advanced mathematics opportunities for all Parkrose students?
