Players, coaches and support staff members of the Alabama men's basketball team participated in a grueling three day Boot Camp retreat which was held at Pursell Farms in Sylacauga, Ala. The team participated in military-style team building activities, workouts, team discussions and even found time for a little fun.
1430 - The team started off with special operations training in the pool.
2000 - After dinner on Sunday, the team gathered at the "Flats" for another workout. Night maneuvers included more team drills, competitions and workouts.
0600 - The team took three-mile run to start Monday's activities. The midpoint of the run led to a great view of the sunrise from the fifth hole at Pursell Farms.
0700 - Immediately following the three-mile run, the instructor led the group in a round of demanding tire exercises that pushed the team to its limit.
1300 - Following the morning workout, the team took a break for a little off road adventure at Pursell Farms. They enjoyed touring the more than 3,000 acre property in UTV's and were able to take in some amazing views overlooking Talladega County.
1700 - Special Operations water training continued, this time it was in the Coosa River.
0530 - Following a full and busy Monday, the team sensed the end was near. Tuesday morning began with the tire exercises as well as a visit to a swampy mud pit located near the edge of Pursell Farms.
1000 - Mission Completed! What a three-day experience this was for the entire team. The grew closer as a unit, became better as a team and most importantly gained each other's trust! Roll Tide!
