Day 1 Spark Introduction By natalia Figueroa

My name is Natalia Figueroa. I am a senior graduating Pacific at the end of this year. I am a psychology major with a gender and sexuality studies minor. I currently reside in Oregon with my husband, but I am from a small island in the Caribbean called Puerto Rico. My contact email if figu8257@pacificu.edu.

My skills are limited in regards to using a computer. Having grown up with a poor family and a poor neighborhood, I didn't really have access to a computer till I was 18 years old. Within the last year I have strive to change my computer illiteracy and begun to take computer classes and free online computer typing classes. I am proud to say that I currently have an average typing speed of 38 words per minute (Touch typing). I am currently practicing almost every day to get even faster and hope to reach 60 words per minute at least once by the end of the year. This would not only help me personally in my hobby for writing stories, but it will also help me professionally in my psychology classes where I have to type out mock interview sessions with practice clients.

I expect to enhance my computer skills. To use what I learned in this class not only for my own enjoyment, but also to modify images to make them presents for my family.
