Poway Days Parade September 9, 2017

The 53rd Annual Poway Days Parade is a tradition in the City of Poway, presented by the Rotary Club of Poway-Scripps. Every year, hundreds of students, staff, and volunteers with the Poway Unified School District participate in the procession, which starts at Pomerado Road and Poway Road and continues to Bowron Road. This year's theme was “Happiness is Helping Others!” Spectators lining the streets were treated to the sights and sounds of bands, marchers, and floats, all representing our schools and District with pride.

On board PUSD's antique fire truck: Classified Employees of the Year Linda Farmer and Bridgette Padilla; Board President Michelle O'Connor-Ratcliff and Clerk Dr. Darshana Patel; Teachers of the Year Mark Lantsberger, Keith Opstad, and Susan Michelena. PUSD's Transportation Department employees and their family members decked out a school bus and rode along the route.
