Racing into 2020: build for the future with me

We never truly know what we are capable of unless we test ourselves and believe that we can achieve more than most people think possible
Driven by the desire to be the best

Sport has always been a passion and played a central role in my life. When I was a teenager I quickly progressed up the ranks at Henley Rowing Club and at the age of just 15 placed 2nd fastest female in GB Under 18 Trials resulting in selection to race in GB boats. My motivation was to become one of the top athletes in rowing but unfortunately a rowing related back injury cut that dream short. After my recovery it wasn’t long before I was throwing myself into different sports to try and find one I could compete in at a high level and most importantly of all - enjoy! So along came triathlon and since I competed in my first race I have not looked back. After Age Group success and ever getting closer to my aim to compete to be one of the best, in 2018 I had my first season as a Pro which I carefully balanced alongside a full time job at a fintech startup. At the close of my season in 2018 I came to the realisation that to give myself the best shot at achieving my dream in the sport I needed to make a career decision.

Aspiring to achieve both success in my career and as an athlete was no longer attainable

So in 2019 I took the leap to full time pro to throw all of my energy into getting the best out of myself as an athlete on the 70.3/Ironman circuit. It hasn't been without it's challenges and it has certainly taught me a huge amount about myself but it has been one of the most rewarding years of my triathlon career.

A speedy tour through my journey so far...

2006 Gold for GB Rowing at the age of 15
2007 Winner of the prestigious Henley Women's Regatta with Henley Rowing Club
2010 Co-founded University of Exeter Triathlon Club, a club that has grown to be University Union funded due to its' success
2012 Jumped straight into entrepreneurial life out of University, running a triathlon holiday and coaching business
Competed in my first Age Group World Championship Standard Distance event in Auckland
2013 Qualified for Age Group World Championships in London Hyde Park
Top 10 finish at World Championships London
Challenged myself by stepping up to Ironman 70.3 distance and won my first ever event with one of the fastest times overall across all age groups
2015 Decided it was time to move to the next challenge in my career and moved to help build a boutique consultancy startup working with multinational brands and clients in the UK, France and the USA
2016 Represented GB in the European Middle Distance Championships
Embarked on an Operational role in a new startup that was out to revolutionise the failing charitable giving market due to the ever growing cashless society. Most challenging but also most rewarding years of my business career to date and was the last full time role I had before taking the leap to become a full time athlete
2017 Competed at World Championships Ironman 70.3, Chattanooga
2018 took my Professional triathlon licence and balanced training as a professional with my full time job
2019 Champion of the Spirit Triathlon Series 2019 in my first full year as a Professional athlete
Giving back and inspiring new generations
Inspiring people to get out doors and look after themselves is key to commercial and personal success. Being a Professional Ironman Triathlete requires me to be organised, focussed and above all resilient. With brands I am currently partnered with I deliver training in areas such as resilience and presentation based on my own story and experiences and inspiring delegates with my continued endeavours on the Elite triathlon circuit.
Always prepared and committed to giving my absolute best, pushing the limits is where breakthroughs are made and new bars are set

Join me

2019 has been a huge development year for me as an athlete and I know there is so much more to come. Winning a series in my first full year as a Pro was not something which came easily and in fact left me twice in the medical tent at the finish line because I pushed myself to the absolute limit! From here I want to build on that and my goal posts are set well and truly high for the next few years.

I am looking to build lasting relationships with those who want to take up the mantle and join the journey

I have never been one to look for the easy road. I have been a grafter and built success off my own bat. I thrive working with people who share those same values. So to be able to give myself the best shot at achieving my goals in triathlon, I am looking to build great partnerships with those who support me by giving back my time, sharing my story and creating new opportunities together with you.
