Champion of Spirit Triathlon Series 2019
Racing into 2020: build for the future with me
We never truly know what we are capable of unless we test ourselves and believe that we can achieve more than most people think possible
Driven by the desire to be the best
Sport has always been a passion and played a central role in my life. When I was a teenager I quickly progressed up the ranks at Henley Rowing Club and at the age of just 15 placed 2nd fastest female in GB Under 18 Trials resulting in selection to race in GB boats. My motivation was to become one of the top athletes in rowing but unfortunately a rowing related back injury cut that dream short. After my recovery it wasn’t long before I was throwing myself into different sports to try and find one I could compete in at a high level and most importantly of all - enjoy! So along came triathlon and since I competed in my first race I have not looked back. After Age Group success and ever getting closer to my aim to compete to be one of the best, in 2018 I had my first season as a Pro which I carefully balanced alongside a full time job at a fintech startup. At the close of my season in 2018 I came to the realisation that to give myself the best shot at achieving my dream in the sport I needed to make a career decision.
Aspiring to achieve both success in my career and as an athlete was no longer attainable
So in 2019 I took the leap to full time pro to throw all of my energy into getting the best out of myself as an athlete on the 70.3/Ironman circuit. It hasn't been without it's challenges and it has certainly taught me a huge amount about myself but it has been one of the most rewarding years of my triathlon career.
2019 has been a huge development year for me as an athlete and I know there is so much more to come. Winning a series in my first full year as a Pro was not something which came easily and in fact left me twice in the medical tent at the finish line because I pushed myself to the absolute limit! From here I want to build on that and my goal posts are set well and truly high for the next few years.
I am looking to build lasting relationships with those who want to take up the mantle and join the journey
I have never been one to look for the easy road. I have been a grafter and built success off my own bat. I thrive working with people who share those same values. So to be able to give myself the best shot at achieving my goals in triathlon, I am looking to build great partnerships with those who support me by giving back my time, sharing my story and creating new opportunities together with you.
