ATLANTIC INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY

The NSU rowing team has the most beautiful practice facility of any NSU team, the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway along the Broward County coast. The Sharks row up and down the beach from just south of Fort Lauderdale down to Hollywood Beach. The Sharks row out of the boathouse at Holland Park in Hollywood, Fla. The park serves as the home of the former NCAA National Champions, and is equipped with a public boat ramp and an observation tower for fans to watch the Sharks come in and out of practice. The boathouse itself is a 35 foot by 65 foot structure with the capacity to hold 50 single shells and numerous eight- and four-person shells.
